Firewall Administrator (Global)

Location: Markham, Ontario, Canada; on-site production/manufacturing floor duties apply

Compensation: CAD 115,000–135,000 annually, plus up to a 5% bonus capped at 150%

What you will do

• Administer enterprise firewall environments across global cloud, data center, and branch locations.
• Plan and execute firewall rollouts, migrations, upgrades, and lifecycle activities.
• Configure firewall rules, NAT policies, routing adjustments, segmentation, and other network security controls.
• Review and clean up firewall rule sets while maintaining security and performance best practices.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity and security incidents, including Level 3 after-hours support.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, systems, application teams, senior engineers, architects, and international stakeholders.

Requirements

• Proven experience administering enterprise firewall environments, ideally with Palo Alto Networks firewalls.
• Strong knowledge of Internet technologies, routing protocols, IPv4, and IPv6.
• Solid understanding of IT security principles, network security architectures, and best practices.
• University or college degree in a technology-related field, equivalent experience, and security or firewall vendor certification.
• Fluent English and good German, written and spoken, are required.
• Canadian citizenship, permanent resident status, or a valid Canadian work permit is required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with ITIL-based service management processes.
