Senior Network Solution Design Engineer (Microsegmentation)

Location: hirify.global Toronto One York, with hybrid work combining office and virtual work based on business needs

Salary: 90,000–140,000 CAD annually, plus eligibility for incentive plans

What you will do

• Design, implement, and operationalize enterprise microsegmentation solutions across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise for secure network and infrastructure projects.
• Create high-level and detailed solution designs covering security, resiliency, fault tolerance, sizing, agility, and release documentation.
• Support network infrastructure operations through proofs of concept, lifecycle management, health and performance analysis, and incident remediation.
• Advance automation, data and analytics, DevOps, API, and digital asset capabilities across on-premises and cloud network services.
• Define business requirements, operational standards, procedures, and engineering and architecture documentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in network security, cybersecurity, or infrastructure engineering.
• Strong knowledge of microsegmentation, Zero Trust Architecture, network segmentation, east-west traffic controls, Layer 3–7 networking, firewall policy design, application dependency mapping, and least-privilege security models.
• Experience implementing or managing Illumio, Cisco Secure Workload/Tetration, Zero Networks, and preferably Akamai Guardicore.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, F5 load balancers, and Linux and Windows Server platforms.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Security Groups, Azure Network Security Groups, VMware vSphere/VCF, VMware NSX, Kubernetes network policies, and container security.
