Senior Software Engineer (Mortgage)

Location: Remote-USA; U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.

Base salary: $164,400–$262,600 annually in California, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC; $156,200–$249,400 annually in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Minnesota, Nevada, Ohio, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Virginia. The role is also eligible for equity awards.

What you will do

• Architect, design, and implement scalable software applications and services for mortgage tasks, workflows, and lending systems.
• Lead end-to-end development of complex features, including solution design, coding, code reviews, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Improve application performance, reliability, security, operability, and observability.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and partner teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to software design, coding, operational excellence, and technical standards.
• Champion automation, CI/CD, and testability practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience designing, building, and supporting production applications or services.
• Experience delivering complex software solutions in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
• Experience mentoring other engineers and contributing to team-level technical decisions and standards.
