Senior Software Engineer (Fintech)

Location: San Francisco, CA or New York City, NY. Hybrid in-office model with attendance required at least 2 days per week: Tuesdays and either Wednesday or Thursday.

Base salary: $200,000+ annually, plus benefits and equity.

What you will do

• Design, build, and ship workflows for distributions, capital calls, subscriptions, data rooms, the LP wallet, and the investor portal.
• Own complex product problems from design through release, operation, and long-tail edge cases.
• Build reliable, resilient, and user-friendly systems where payment accuracy and investor trust are critical.
• Model complex business domains and create maintainable systems and abstractions.
• Improve engineering quality through code reviews, design feedback, and mentorship.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Foundations teams to integrate features with money-movement and identity systems.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building backend or full-stack web applications.
• Senior-level ownership of significant features or systems from ambiguous problem definition through launch and operation.
• Experience shipping sophisticated product surfaces and improving their reliability and quality.
• Strong architecture and data-modeling skills for complex, evolving business domains.
• Fluency in a modern TypeScript stack or demonstrated ability to ramp quickly, with comfort using GraphQL, PostgreSQL, and Temporal workflow orchestration.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving startup environment while maintaining high quality.

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech, payments, or another high-stakes domain.
• Experience taking greenfield product areas from zero to one and scaling mature products.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and workflow orchestration such as Temporal.
• Experience working with platform or infrastructure teams.
