Senior Software Engineer - Python (AI)

Location: Galway, Ireland; onsite in the Galway office two to three days per week

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain agentic AI systems for conversational interfaces.
• Build and optimize scalable machine-learning pipelines for real-time and asynchronous interactions.
• Develop and integrate LLM-powered agents with multi-turn reasoning and task execution.
• Productionize models and services, including APIs, microservices, observability, and reliability practices.
• Collaborate with research and product teams to turn prototypes into robust production solutions.
• Write maintainable code and tests, review code, and mentor peers.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software or machine-learning experience.
• Strong Python proficiency; Java experience is a plus.
• Solid software-engineering and system-design foundation.
• Experience with AWS or equivalent cloud services.
• Experience building and operating APIs and microservices at scale.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with LLMs, fine-tuning, RAG, and prompt engineering.
• Experience with agent frameworks such as LangChain, Bedrock, or OpenAI tools and function calling.
• Experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow, vector databases, and embedding-based retrieval.
• Experience building real-time AI applications, including chatbots, voice applications, copilots, or multi-agent systems.
