Director, Strategy and Portfolio Management (MedTech)

Salary: $150,000–$258,750 per year

What you will do

• Lead Quality & Compliance annual business-cycle deliverables, including Board updates, Enterprise Quality Reviews, and Executive Committee materials.
• Develop enterprise goals and objectives, align sector and functional priorities, and track quarterly, mid-year, and year-end progress.
• Provide portfolio, project, and performance reporting to Technical Operations & Risk leadership and other executive forums.
• Improve portfolio management processes, reporting templates, value measurement, and business-cycle execution.
• Identify strategic opportunities, build business cases, establish governance, and lead end-to-end project execution, risk mitigation, change management, and communications.
• Represent Quality & Compliance in cross-functional initiatives while leading project teams, mentoring colleagues, and supporting talent development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with strong academic credentials.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience with demonstrated career progression.
• Project leadership experience, including delivering outcomes through influence and collaboration with non-direct reports.
• Excellent communication skills, including synthesizing complex information, framing decisions, and creating executive-ready materials.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with strong data visualization and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities, deadlines, and occasional demands outside standard working hours.

Nice to have

• Experience at a top-tier management consulting firm or investment bank.
• Advanced degree in economics, finance, engineering, natural or physical sciences, computer science, technology, or a related field.
• Financial modeling, scenario and sensitivity analysis, and experience translating numerical output into executive insights.
• Experience with digital initiatives, analytics, or AI enablement and with senior leadership of large corporations.
