Director, Global Program Management (AI)

Location: United States — California — San Diego; hybrid work arrangement. Candidates must have permanent U.S. work authorization.

Annual base salary: $176,600–$294,300, plus a 20% bonus target and eligibility for a share-based long-term incentive program.

What you will do

• Lead integrated program planning across drug development, lifecycle, operating plans, and partner-line plans from pre-clinical development through loss of exclusivity.
• Drive critical paths, milestones, stage gates, decision-point planning, scenario analysis, and cross-functional delivery.
• Manage program budgets, forecasts, resources, schedules, risks, issues, and operational trade-offs.
• Provide leadership to Global Product Teams and influence functional leaders in a complex matrix environment.
• Coordinate governance presentations, stakeholder communications, portfolio information, readouts, and lessons-learned reviews.
• Apply AI-enabled tools and ways of working to improve decision-making, delivery speed, execution quality, and resource efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a drug development-related discipline or business with at least 8 years of experience, or an advanced degree with at least 7 years of experience.
• Mastery of program management and significant expertise in end-to-end drug development.
• Experience with integrated project plans, critical path management, change control, risk management, decision analysis, and governance.
• Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into operational goals and tactical plans in complex matrix teams.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Permanent U.S. work authorization is required; U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Professional Project Management certification such as PMP or equivalent.
• Experience in clinical operations and clinical trial execution, including contract research organizations and budget management.
