Executive Director, Portfolio & Program Management (Biopharma)

Location: Boston, MA (Seaport); hybrid schedule with 3 days in office and 2 days remote per week, with an on-site option available.

Salary: $260,800–$391,200 base salary annually, plus potential annual bonus and equity awards.

What you will do

• Lead portfolio and program management across research, clinical development, and commercialization.
• Provide strategic and operational leadership to cross-functional teams across multiple disease areas.
• Set strategy and oversee decision-making for complex, high-priority programs.
• Drive organizational design, resource allocation, scalability, and operational excellence.
• Represent Program and Portfolio Management in governance forums and with senior leaders.
• Oversee financial and human-resource accountability for expanded teams and mentor senior program managers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or a relevant field.
• Typically 15+ years of experience, including 7+ years of management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience leading large, complex global teams and programs.
• Deep expertise in portfolio and program management, strategic planning, risk management, and resource management across multiple disease areas.
• Advanced business management and financial acumen, with strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Expertise in pharmaceutical drug discovery and development across disciplines.
