HR Generalist (Hospitality)

Location: Sesame Place Philadelphia; primarily indoors with regular collaboration with Ambassadors in the park.

What you will do

• Support HR programs that improve the employee experience and enable business growth.
• Handle employee leaves, disciplinary matters, disputes, investigations, performance management, talent management, terminations, and severance documentation.
• Advise applicants, employees, supervisors, Park Ambassadors, and leadership on HR policies, benefits, leave, wellness, and related programs.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and coordinate with the legal department on sensitive matters.
• Manage training records, required training completion, timekeeping and scheduling issues, and employee engagement programs.
• Support recruiting, change management, department communications, and improvements to HR policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
• 3+ years of relevant HR experience or equivalent.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of HRIS, payroll, and applicant tracking systems.
• Knowledge of human resources practices and federal and state employment regulations.
• Strong active listening, communication, critical-thinking, time-management, writing, and speaking skills.

Nice to have

• HR certification.
• Experience in the theme park or hospitality industry.
