Structural Technician II (Aerospace)

Location: Hagerstown, Maryland, United States; onsite production role.

Salary: $26.39–$36.29 per hour

What you will do

• Assemble larger structural components and systems independently.
• Perform complex part-fitting work, including precision drilling, riveting, fastener installation, repair, and refinishing.
• Inspect assemblies for compliance with technical specifications and resolve production issues.
• Maintain detailed records of completed work and materials used.
• Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to improve project accuracy and efficiency.
• Support training and mentoring for entry-level technicians and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Current Military Fellows only.
• High school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of relevant experience; a higher-level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical documents, schematics, diagrams, manuals, and technical publications.
• Experience with structural assembly, minor part fitting, airframe corrosion removal, and installation of rivets and hi-locks.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments, hand tools, and power tools; own tools in good working order may be required for production work.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain required U.S. government authorizations.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in aerospace manufacturing or a related discipline.
• Advanced aerospace assembly certifications.
• Experience with lean manufacturing.
• Background in aerospace and defense, the U.S. Department of Defense, or the U.S. military.
