2nd Shift Production Operator

Location: Onsite in Murphy, North Carolina, United States

Salary: $16.00–$20.00 per hour

What you will do

• Assemble electromechanical products, including rotor, stator, motor, and drive assemblies, using manufacturing documentation and tooling.
• Operate stripping machines, hand tools, potting mixers, applicators, mold transfer presses, and automated machinery.
• Install lead wire pin connectors, apply varnish, glue, activator, and potting compounds, and attach heat sinks to circuit boards.
• Complete final motor assembly and test motors and drives against performance specifications.
• Prepare and package finished motor and drive assemblies and cross-train across production operations.
• Work extended periods standing or sitting and perform physical activities such as lifting, bending, kneeling, and crawling; overtime, including Saturdays, may be required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred, or the ability to understand and apply verbal, written, and computer-based instructions in English.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic arithmetic skills.
• Experience with soldering or the ability to become soldering certified.
• Good eyesight, color distinction, hand dexterity, and range of motion.
• Ability to lift 20 pounds frequently and up to 40 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to work with and around strong electromagnetic fields from magnets.
