Light Equipment Operator 1 (3rd Shift)

Location: Commerce, California, USA; onsite, 3rd shift, Wednesday–Sunday, 8:15pm–4:30am.

Pay: $17.50–$23.60 per hour, with the final offer dependent on location, education, skills, experience, performance, and shift.

What you will do

• Operate, load, unload, and set up assigned production equipment, including 227, Alphaliner, and Ferag systems.
• Stage the correct materials at the machine and delegate labor to meet production goals.
• Troubleshoot machine components, clear jams, make minor adjustments, and support safe and efficient operation.
• Monitor machine performance through software, respond to error messages, and record data in Microsoft Excel.
• Perform quality checks, resolve productivity and quality issues, and report critical data to production leadership.
• Perform feeder, strapper, housekeeping, safety, audit-support, and other assigned production duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–3 years of related experience preferred, plus basic computer experience.
• Ability to lead or serve as crew lead for one machine and communicate equipment, quality, and safety concerns.
• Ability to read daily machine reports, perform basic mathematical tasks, assess obstacles, and take corrective action.
• Ability to operate a pallet jack and work around moving mechanical parts, airborne dust, paper particles, and industrial lift trucks.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, grip, squat, kneel, lift up to 15 lbs., and push or pull up to 40 lbs.; overtime may be required.
