Light Equipment Operator 1 (3rd Shift)

Location: Commerce, CA, USA; on-site, 3rd shift Wednesday–Sunday, 8:15pm–4:30am

Pay: $17.50–$23.60 per hour

What you will do

• Load and unload materials and stage the correct supplies at assigned equipment.
• Set up machine components and operate equipment including 227, Alphaliner, and Ferag systems.
• Troubleshoot machine components, clear jams, perform minor adjustments, and follow safety and maintenance procedures.
• Monitor machine performance through computer interfaces, respond to error messages, and record data in MS Excel.
• Perform finished-product quality checks and resolve productivity or quality issues.
• Lead, coach, and communicate with production team members while prioritizing work to meet production commitments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–3 years of related experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to use machine-specific software and MS Excel.
• Ability to operate a pallet jack, read machine reports, perform mathematical tasks, and understand manufacturing operations.
• Ability to lead or crew-lead one machine, communicate equipment and safety concerns, multitask, and take corrective action.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, grip, squat, kneel, carry up to 15 pounds, and push or pull up to 40 pounds in a fast-paced industrial environment.
