SVP, Finance

Location: Onsite in Downtown Los Angeles, California, United States. Candidates outside the Los Angeles area may apply if they are able to work onsite in LA. No relocation assistance is provided.

Annual base salary: $227,000–$341,000.

LA28 is organizing the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games and building the financial planning discipline needed to deliver them.

What you will do

• Lead holistic budgets and forecasts aligned with annual plans, strategic plans, and the full Games budget.
• Partner with department leaders to develop and manage operating plans that achieve budget targets.
• Produce departmental and consolidated P&L, cash, and variance reporting, recommending actions to mitigate risks.
• Oversee financial planning and reporting processes, including IT and system integrations.
• Provide financial modeling and recommendations for key partner contract negotiations.
• Lead the FP&A team and support short-term cash forecasting and finance-related dissolution planning.

Requirements

• 15+ years of progressive FP&A experience, including executive leadership of financial planning teams in a complex organization.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain flexible financial models for financial and operational decision-making.
• Deep technical accounting knowledge sufficient to produce operational and GAAP views of reports, forecasts, and plans.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or another business-related discipline.
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills, with experience hiring, training, and retaining finance staff.
• Ability to work onsite in the Downtown Los Angeles office, including variable hours during peak event periods.
