Finance & Business Operations Lead (SaaS)

Location: On-site in Reston, Virginia, United States

Base salary: $130,000–$180,000 per year

What you will do

• Own day-to-day financial operations, including AP, AR, invoicing, collections, vendor payments, expenses, corporate cards, and cash management.
• Coordinate monthly close, financial reporting, annual budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis.
• Prepare financial and operating analyses, KPI reporting, forecasts, budgets, and Board materials.
• Manage payroll and benefits administration with Paychex Flex and coordinate recurring business, licensing, compliance, and filing requirements.
• Partner with Sales to connect pipeline, bookings, contracts, billing, renewals, and recognized revenue using HubSpot and related data.
• Improve finance and business operations processes, controls, scalability, and operating leverage as the company grows.

Requirements

• Approximately 5–8 years of relevant experience in finance, FP&A, accounting operations, strategic finance, or a related field.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, actual-versus-plan analysis, and financial operations such as invoicing, AP/AR, reporting, or cash management.
• Strong spreadsheet, analytical, communication, business judgment, and ownership skills.
• Ability to move between strategic planning and hands-on operational work in an evolving environment.
• Ability to work on-site in the Reston, Virginia office.

Nice to have

• Experience at a high-growth SaaS, software, or technology company.
• Experience in an early-stage or growth-stage company with significant autonomy.
• Experience preparing materials for executives, investors, or Boards.
• Experience with Ramp, Paychex Flex, HubSpot, outside financial partners, or comparable platforms.
• CPA, finance/accounting background, or familiarity with SaaS metrics and recurring-revenue models.
