Location: Plano, Texas, United States; office or hybrid environment

What you will do

  • Lead strategic planning for mechanical engineering initiatives and projects.
  • Develop innovative mechanical solutions for aerospace and defense applications.
  • Oversee critical and complex mechanical engineering projects through execution.
  • Provide subject-matter expertise, technical guidance, and mentorship to senior engineers.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive engineering excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • 14+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or a related role.
  • Extensive experience with advanced mechanical design and analysis principles.
  • Experience with computer-aided engineering tools and multidisciplinary design and development teams.
  • Published research or other recognized contributions to mechanical engineering; a related PhD is required or listed as preferred in the qualifications.
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain an active Top Secret U.S. security clearance are required.

Nice to have

  • Experience with GD&T according to ASME Y14.5.
  • Experience with FEA, CFD, and thermal analysis.
  • Aerospace and defense industry experience.
  • Knowledge of parametric design, model-based definition, material selection, manufacturing, and production processes.
  • Experience with FAA, NASA, or DoD design and construction regulations.
