TL;DR
Sr. Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) (Asset Management): Leading planning, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance reporting for Investments and Product organizations with an accent on driver-based analysis, P&L evaluation, and executive communication. Focus on building business cases, conducting scenario and sensitivity analysis, improving reporting through automation, and coaching FP&A analysts.

Location: Owings Mills, Maryland, United States; hybrid schedule with up to one day per week from home

Base salary: $110,000–$188,000 annually for Maryland, Colorado, Washington, and remote workers. Higher ranges apply to Washington, D.C., New York, and California.

What you will do

  • Partner with Accounting and business stakeholders on actual results, budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.
  • Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning for the Investments organization.
  • Analyze business-unit and product financials, including AUM and revenue components, to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Build business cases, evaluate investment opportunities and cost-saving initiatives, and perform ROI, scenario, and sensitivity analyses.
  • Present dashboards, reports, recommendations, and executive-level financial narratives to senior leadership.
  • Coach and develop analysts while improving data integrity, reporting accuracy, automation, and process standardization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Advanced financial modeling, analytical, problem-solving, and executive communication skills.
  • Experience with financial reports, dashboards, and executive summaries; Power BI or Tableau experience is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Applicants must have U.S. work authorization that does not now or in the future require visa sponsorship.

  • Experience in asset management, investment management, or financial services.
  • Experience leading and developing teams through coaching, performance management, and talent development.
  • Expertise in scalable, driver-based financial models and reporting automation.
