Manager, Financial Analysis - Small Commercial FP&A (Insurance)

Location: Hartford, Connecticut, United States

Salary: $89,800–$148,300 annual base salary, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What you will do

• Lead the Select business forecasting and planning process, including the annual plan, current year projection, and multi-year plan.
• Partner with Product Management on product initiatives, pricing and growth strategies, and post-implementation performance monitoring.
• Prepare, validate, and improve financial and operational reports while ensuring accuracy and effective communication.
• Analyze business performance, trends, and variances, including data testing and validation.
• Present financial results, observations, and recommendations to managers, team members, and cross-functional partners.
• Review competitor releases, SEC filings, and industry publications, and support regulatory change and complex analysis projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics, or relevant advanced finance or accounting education or professional designation.
• At least three years of experience in finance, financial planning, accounting, or a related field.
• Knowledge of financial analysis concepts, accounting principles, and financial reporting processes.
• Strong data analysis, strategic thinking, judgment, communication, and influencing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and provide coaching, training, and mentoring.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and financial reporting software such as TM1, Essbase, or Hyperion.
