Central Process Owner (Industrial Automation)

Location: Lisbon, Portugal. Frequent travel across EMEA, up to 60%. Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Portugal and hold a valid residence permit or work visa, Portuguese NIF, and Portuguese NISS.

What you will do

• Lead the development, standardization, and coordination of assembly tooling, vision systems, torque measurement equipment, and electrical test boards for wiring harness production.
• Design and standardize tooling and fixtures, including final assembly boards, closing tools, and taping devices, across multiple factories.
• Develop and integrate mechanical, pneumatic, and mechatronic assembly solutions.
• Troubleshoot and optimize tooling systems involving sensors, actuators, and pneumatics.
• Document designs, maintenance procedures, and validation reports, and train local teams on operation and preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate tooling topics across the EMEA region while improving reliability, repeatability, safety, and operator efficiency.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in tooling design, assembly processes, or industrial automation.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design and pneumatics.
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as CATIA, SolidWorks, or Creo.
• Familiarity with CE compliance and industrial safety standards, plus the ability to coordinate activities across international sites.
• Fluent English and legal eligibility to work in Portugal are required.
