Device & SIM Engineer (IoT)

What you will do

• Own device onboarding from connectivity testing and troubleshooting through debugging and test report preparation.
• Test and validate IoT and consumer devices across cellular connectivity solutions.
• Investigate device, SIM, eSIM, and network interoperability issues using traces and network analysis.
• Run and maintain the isolated hirify.global laboratory infrastructure.
• Build verification plans, define test scenarios, and execute test cases for devices, SIM/eSIM configurations, and services.
• Collaborate with Product, R&D, Support, Network teams, SIM vendors, customers, and device vendors to validate new products, applets, configurations, and services.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as a Cellular Device Testing Engineer, Cellular Network Engineer, or in a similar technical role.
• Good understanding of cellular architecture, call flows, and mobile network procedures.
• Familiarity with IP networking protocols and hands-on experience with trace and network analysis tools.
• Experience troubleshooting connectivity issues across devices and cellular networks.
• Experience with Remote SIM Provisioning and understanding of GSMA SGP.02, SGP.22, and/or SGP.32 architectures.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.

Nice to have

• Experience with QXDM, TEMS, COMPRION, or similar device and SIM trace/log analysis tools.
• Experience with SIM/UICC/eUICC configuration and OTA technologies.
• Experience with cellular radio interfaces and radio-related troubleshooting.
• Experience with IoT modules, smartphones, and other cellular device platforms.
• Experience working directly with SIM/eSIM vendors or device manufacturers, or a relevant technical B.Sc. degree.
