Principal Project Manager (Civil Engineering)

Salary: $130,000–$165,000 annually

What you will do

• Lead multidisciplinary civil engineering projects and direct the design team.
• Manage construction documents, contracts, schedules, budgets, fee proposals, and scopes of work.
• Coordinate construction support, field activities, constructability reviews, and design and support staff.
• Develop conceptual and preliminary engineering studies considering land use, zoning, site constraints, infrastructure, and regulatory issues.
• Prepare and process regulatory plans and public improvement plans.
• Build relationships with clients, public-agency personnel, and internal teams.

Requirements

• BSCE degree and California Professional Civil Engineer registration, or the ability to obtain it within six months.
• 8–12 years of relevant experience, or 12–15 years of equivalent industry experience.
• At least three years of management experience supervising technical staff.
• Demonstrated leadership, independent decision-making, project management, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Experience with CAD and AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
• Knowledge of California and regional jurisdictional codes, standards, and procedures is strongly preferred.
