What you will do

• Lead or participate in quality and reliability engineering projects for semiconductor imaging and process-control products.
• Apply Design for Reliability methods to new product development and complete reliability analyses and validation plans.
• Analyze non-conformance and failure-rate data, perform failure analysis, and drive 8D and FMECA projects to resolution.
• Design quality and reliability inspection, testing, modeling, and evaluation methods for components, assemblies, and equipment.
• Define and implement quality controls and manufacturing processes with suppliers and internal manufacturing centers.
• Develop reliability growth models, present progress, and coach or train relevant organizations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; a master’s degree in mechanical, electrical, materials engineering, physics, statistics, reliability, or a related field is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in quality and reliability engineering or equivalent experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of reliability concepts, design for reliability, failure analysis, manufacturing quality, and electro-mechanical components.
• Experience with LEDs, lasers, PCBs, board assembly, optics, or semiconductor equipment and metrology is preferred.
• Analytical problem-solving skills and experience with structured methods such as 8D, reliability modeling, and component or equipment qualification.
• Must work from Santa Clara, California; travel to supplier or customer sites in the USA, Europe, and Asia may be required.

Nice to have

• Experience with lithography, optical metrology, optics, software, and semiconductor industry products.
• Experience using AI tools to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
