Manufacturing Technician III (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: Billerica, Massachusetts, United States; onsite cleanroom work

Salary: $23.00–$31.40 per hour

What you will do

• Build, repair, integrate, and test electrical, electro-mechanical, vacuum, pneumatic, fluid delivery, and process equipment assemblies.
• Assemble and install plumbing skid systems, including tubing, piping, valves, regulators, fittings, filters, and gauges.
• Wire junction boxes and control enclosures, including device installation, cable routing, termination, labeling, and verification.
• Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, P&IDs, bills of material, and work instructions.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and fluid delivery systems using test fixtures, measurement equipment, leak detectors, and vacuum pumps.
• Inspect parts, complete documentation, install software when needed, improve processes, and provide informal support to junior colleagues.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree.
• 2–4 years of semiconductor or display experience, or comparable industry or military experience.
• Related technical training and certifications.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and operate in a physically demanding cleanroom environment.
• Ability to use hand and power tools and operate or drive heavy machinery, including forklifts.

Nice to have

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills using established procedures or scientific methods.
• Experience serving as a peer leader or trainer.
• Proficiency in semiconductor manufacturing concepts and processes.
• ASSEET or BSEET qualification, including DeVry or TSTC programs.
