Process Technician (Semiconductor)

What you will do

• Prepare wafers, clean reactors, and set up laboratory equipment for experiments.
• Operate reactors for thin film processes, evaluate system performance, and recommend troubleshooting procedures.
• Prepare cross-section samples and operate scanning electron microscopes for SEM, critical dimension, and EDS analysis and imaging.
• Record process conditions and experimental observations, modify process recipes, and prepare graphs and tables from wafer and thin-film evaluations.
• Perform SEM software alignment, routine equipment maintenance, shutdown procedures, and coordination of instrument repairs and supplies.
• Communicate results with requestors, monitor wafer-in-process throughput, assist with technician training, and develop best-known-method procedures.

Requirements

• Technical diploma.
• 4–7 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of basic SEM principles, quantitative wafer evaluation, and process instrumentation.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment, optimize processes, and use hand and power tools.
• Ability to walk extensively, stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces and at height, climb stairs and ladders, and lift up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to distinguish colors and work with electricity, noise, and cleanroom personal protective equipment.
