Engineering Technician (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Design, test, check out, fabricate, modify, troubleshoot, and assemble complex electronic and electro-mechanical systems, prototypes, tools, and test fixtures.
• Resolve system-level and component-level electrical and mechanical problems independently.
• Perform new system and NPI installations, field upgrades, and mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and process testing.
• Investigate issues, compile data, document findings, and recommend product or manufacturing-process improvements.
• Develop technical reports, test procedures, standard work, and documentation with Engineering and Manufacturing.
• Provide technical guidance and training to lower-level technicians and may coordinate team resources or act as a Quality Lead.

Requirements

• Must work on site in Santa Clara, California.
• Comprehensive understanding of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts in the relevant technical discipline.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, vacuum, and process systems with limited or no documentation.
• Ability to work in tight spaces, stand and walk for extended periods, bend, squat, kneel, climb, lift, and use hand and power tools.
• Ability to distinguish colors and work around noise, clean-room conditions, and required personal protective equipment.
• Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time and operate heavy machinery, including forklifts, when required.
