Certification Engineer

Location: Remote, but candidates must be based in Austria, Germany, Spain, Italy, Sweden, or Poland

What you will do

• Derive product requirements from certification frameworks and track changes to regulatory and evaluation requirements.
• Prepare certification artifacts and coordinate required product changes with Product Managers and development teams.
• Manage communication and schedules with evaluators, certification bodies, and consultants, resolving blockers and proposing alternatives.
• Own evaluation reports, compliance records, instructional references, version control, and certification status tracking.
• Brief product, engineering, compliance, legal, sales, and customer-success stakeholders on certification status and upcoming work.
• Represent hirify.global at conferences and industry groups, contribute to regulatory feedback, and use AI to analyze regulatory documents and compliance evidence.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience with product certification frameworks such as Common Criteria, FIPS 140-3, SESIP, EU CRA, or BSI Technical Guidelines.
• Experience as a certifier, evaluator, or developer submitting a product for evaluation.
• Background in computer science, information security, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical ability, documentation skills, and organizational discipline.
• Professional English is required as the working language.
• Must be based in Austria, Germany, Spain, Italy, Sweden, or Poland.

Nice to have

• Italian, German, French, or Spanish language skills.
• Experience using AI to analyze regulatory texts, draft evaluation artifacts, and track implementation against certification requirements.
