TL;DR
CFD Engineer (AI): Building high-fidelity computational fluid dynamics models and simulation datasets for AI-driven engineering and manufacturing software with an accent on fluid mechanics, heat transfer, multiphase modelling, and scalable simulation workflows. Focus on geometry cleanup, meshing, multiphysics simulation, post-processing, pipeline automation, and preparing data for machine-learning surrogate models.
Location: New York, United States; hybrid work with 2–3 days per week in the central NYC office. The role also includes occasional travel to Europe, Asia, and Oceania for customer engagements.

What you will do
- Build CFD models from geometry cleanup and meshing through simulation and post-processing.
- Adapt parametric CAD models in NX or CATIA and contribute to automation for design optimization and design-of-experiments studies.
- Generate simulation datasets for machine-learning and deep-learning models, including surrogate model development.
- Run simulations on the Flux cloud platform and on-premise HPC resources, improving meshing and setup performance.
- Support customer-facing engineering work by preparing and presenting simulation results.
- Collaborate with data scientists, machine-learning engineers, customers, and the Simulation Engineering guild.
Requirements
- Foundation in fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and multiphase modelling.
- Working knowledge of at least one of Star-CCM+, OpenFOAM, or Fluent.
- Ability to use built-in automation features to support scalable simulation workflows.
- Comfort working with engineering concepts across multiple industries and applying them to practical customer problems.
- Availability to work 2–3 days per week from the NYC office and travel occasionally for customer engagements.
Nice to have
- Experience with parametric CAD modelling in NX or CATIA.
- Coding experience in Python or Java, or the ability to learn new tools and languages quickly.
