NDT Technician

Location: Based in the Appleton, Wisconsin area, with travel to client locations in Northeast Wisconsin.

Salary: $65,000–$75,000 annually, plus a target annual bonus of 5% of base salary.

What you will do

• Perform nondestructive testing, weld inspections, and safety and non-safety certification inspections.
• Witness performance testing of water pumps, line-voltage electrical systems, aerial ladders, and platforms on fire apparatus.
• Analyze examination and test results against UL requirements and applicable standards.
• Review production, inspection, shipping, and quality-assurance programs for compliance.
• Verify calibration and accuracy of manufacturer and UL inspection equipment, including micrometers and voltmeters.
• Document findings, communicate with manufacturers and customers, and support corrective actions when variations are identified.

Requirements

• Previous Level II NDT experience is preferred, with classroom training in MT, VT, and UT.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, technical judgment, and mechanical reasoning.
• Strong verbal communication and client-interfacing skills.
• Ability to work outdoors year-round, inside production facilities, in confined spaces, and at elevated areas.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and travel to multiple client locations using dependable personal transportation.
• Attention to detail, punctuality, responsibility, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice to have

• Experience with welding and fabrication.
