Focus on developing metrology recipes for new layers, troubleshooting equipment, and leading cross-functional improvements to reduce process variation and improve operational performance.
Location: Hybrid role based in Leixlip, Ireland, with time split between the site and off-site work
Annual salary: €59,200–€111,300

What you will do
- Own and optimize multiple thin-film metrology toolsets used in semiconductor manufacturing.
- Analyze equipment and process performance using data extraction, statistical methods, trend analysis, outlier detection, and visualization.
- Drive corrective actions and recipe optimization to reduce variation and improve tool performance.
- Work with Integration teams and vendors to develop metrology recipes for new layers and improve visibility into potential end-of-line issues.
- Lead cross-functional equipment improvement initiatives and develop solutions to technical challenges.
Requirements
- Level 8 degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline, such as Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechatronics, Nanotechnology, or Mathematics.
- 4+ years of experience in equipment engineering or a similar industry.
- Strong analytical, statistical, problem-solving, and equipment troubleshooting skills, including experience with tools such as JMP.
- Ability to work autonomously, take ownership, manage ambiguity, and communicate complex technical information clearly.
- Experience working in cross-functional and multicultural teams.
Nice to have
- Background or hands-on experience in optics.
- Experience in semiconductor manufacturing or another high-tech industry.
- Familiarity with scatterometry and OCD model development methodologies.
- Experience with XRF, AFM, or TEM.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tools or activities simultaneously.
