What you will do
- Own collections, billing, invoicing, accounts receivable performance, cash application, and customer payment follow-up.
- Establish credit and collections policies, improve DSO and cash forecasting, and partner with Sales and Customer Success to resolve disputes.
- Lead the accounts payable and purchasing function, including vendor onboarding, approvals, payment runs, purchasing controls, and 1099 compliance.
- Lead the transition from Teampay to Ramp and manage integrations with NetSuite, Maxio, and Avalara.
- Own revenue recognition under ASC 606, sales tax reporting, deferred revenue roll-forwards, and related reporting.
- Support month-end close, reconciliations, flux analysis, audit schedules, internal controls, and audit-ready workpapers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA is a plus.
- 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including public accounting or audit and operational accounting in a high-growth company.
- Strong US GAAP knowledge, including ASC 606 and ASC 842.
- Hands-on experience owning collections and accounts receivable, with measurable improvements in DSO or past-due balances.
- Experience with revenue operations, accounts payable, purchasing, audit-ready workpapers, external auditors, finance systems, and GL integrations.
- Experience with NetSuite, Ramp, scalable accounting controls, and AI-enabled finance workflows is required or strongly relevant.
Nice to have
- Experience in a hardware, manufacturing, or mixed hardware/software business.
