Senior Operations Accountant (AI Hardware)

Location: Sunnyvale, California, with three days per week in the office

What you will do

• Own monthly inventory subledger-to-general-ledger reconciliations, variance investigations, journal entries, and close support.
• Account for inventory rebates, manufacturing yield losses, allocations, freight, tariffs, and other inventory-related costs.
• Analyze inventory movements, manufacturing variances, yield, scrap, reserves, and excess or obsolete inventory.
• Execute monthly accounting for the global data center and office lease portfolio under ASC 842, including reconciliations, rollforwards, payment schedules, and flux analysis.
• Support lease reviews, quarter-end schedules, financial statement disclosures, SEC reporting, and audit requests.
• Improve upstream data quality, document controls, and automate recurring processes using appropriate review procedures and AI-enabled tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Four or more years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including inventory valuation and costing under ASC 330 and lease accounting under ASC 842.
• Strong NetSuite and Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and data modeling.
• Ability to analyze large or unstructured datasets, document conclusions, manage competing priorities, and meet close deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills with finance and operational stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience in manufacturing, semiconductor, hardware, or infrastructure-intensive environments.
• CPA or CMA certification.
• Experience with Power Query, lease accounting systems, or similar automation tools.
