Senior Accounting Manager

Location: Seattle, WA — Hybrid

Salary: $140K–$185K annually, plus equity

What you will do

• Own day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, payroll processing, revenue recognition, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and close processes.
• Lead preparation for the company’s first financial statement audit, including work papers, schedules, auditor requests, and external auditor coordination.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual GAAP financial statements and oversee federal, state, local, sales, and payroll tax compliance.
• Oversee inventory and cost accounting for work in process, finished goods, and cost of goods sold.
• Develop accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls suitable for a high-growth organization.
• Implement scalable accounting systems, ERP tools, automation, and AI-enabled workflows while supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cross-functional initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in a fast-paced startup and hands-on knowledge of manufacturing operations.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, ASC 606 revenue recognition, and audit management.
• Experience implementing financial systems such as AR/AP tools or an ERP; expertise with accounting software such as QuickBooks Online or NetSuite.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets and SaaS subscription management or AR software.
• Strong analytical, communication, accuracy, and financial integrity skills; experience with people management or team mentorship.

Nice to have

• CPA certification.
• Experience using AI tools and automated workflows to improve accounting operations, variance analysis, and close or reporting efficiency.
