What you will do
- Lead planning, transition activities, and stakeholder coordination for Antarctic traverse operations.
- Coordinate the movement of personnel, cargo, fuel, scientific equipment, and other mission-critical resources between stations and remote field locations.
- Oversee traverse fleet readiness, equipment availability, maintenance planning, and operational support.
- Lead route planning, hazard assessments, weather evaluations, and operational risk management.
- Monitor performance and develop reports, analyses, metrics, executive briefings, budget plans, and resource allocation recommendations.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries background investigation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Operations Management, Transportation, or a related field; equivalent experience may substitute.
- Typically 7+ years of experience in transportation operations, logistics, expeditionary operations, or a related field.
- Experience planning and executing complex transportation, logistics, or field operations involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, decision-making, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with operational planning, logistics, fleet management, or resource management systems.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in Logistics, Transportation, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience leading overland traverse operations or large-scale transportation programs.
- Experience supporting government contracts, large-scale transitions, or program mobilizations.
