Asset Lead (Waste Management)

Location: Remote/Hybrid - USA; ability to travel and/or work onsite up to 10% may be required.

What you will do

• Coordinate the availability, utilization, movement, recovery, inspection, and redeployment of containers, compactors, roll-offs, balers, and other waste equipment.
• Maintain accurate asset records across asset management and rental systems, including equipment location, condition, status, and maintenance readiness.
• Coordinate with Operations, Transportation, Maintenance, vendors, Sales, Customer Service, and customers to resolve deployment, pickup, installation, repair, and service issues.
• Track asset utilization, availability, turnaround time, downtime, recovery rates, and repair cycle time; prepare reports and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Support equipment lifecycle decisions involving repair, refurbishment, replacement, retirement, and return to productive use.
• Mentor and train Asset Coordinators on asset tracking, rental processes, systems, and company procedures.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in asset management, fleet management, equipment rental, waste operations, logistics, or a related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
• Experience with asset management, fleet, rental, or ERP systems and strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, communication, customer service, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment and create reports on asset performance.
• Reliable internet, a suitable remote-work setup, and a quiet, distraction-free workspace are required.

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience leading, supervising, or coordinating a team.
• Waste industry, roll-off, compactor, container, or heavy-equipment experience.
• Knowledge of equipment lifecycle management and process improvement.
