Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op (Manufacturing)

Location: Hillsboro, Oregon, United States; onsite manufacturing environment

What you will do

• Support safe, efficient, and high-quality production processes for the CMP Polishing Pads business.
• Collect and analyze manufacturing data to identify trends, process variation, and improvement opportunities.
• Assist with root cause investigations involving quality issues, equipment performance, scrap, and process deviations.
• Participate in continuous improvement, SPC, process capability, engineering trials, and Design of Experiments.
• Support equipment qualifications, process validations, new product introductions, and manufacturing documentation.
• Present findings and recommendations while completing a measurable engineering project.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in mechanical, industrial, chemical, materials, manufacturing, electrical, or a related engineering discipline.
• Sophomore, junior, or senior in good academic standing; a minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and technical data interpretation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Available to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from January through June.

Nice to have

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, SPC, Minitab, JMP, Power BI, or CAD software.
• Prior internship, co-op, laboratory, research, or manufacturing experience.
• Leadership experience through coursework, student organizations, research, athletics, or other activities.
