Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op

Location: Bloomington, Minnesota, United States; onsite manufacturing environment

Salary: $20–$30 per hour, depending on overall qualifications.

What you will do

• Own and execute a significant manufacturing engineering project in the area of study and present measurable results to site leadership.
• Analyze production data, identify inefficiencies, and implement process improvements.
• Design, develop, and validate tooling, fixtures, equipment, and standardized work instructions.
• Provide day-to-day support for production issue resolution, process troubleshooting, documentation updates, and corrective actions.
• Help solve manufacturing issues by implementing new equipment and processes.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled student pursuing Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
• Expected graduation in Spring 2027 or 2028.
• Basic understanding of lean manufacturing techniques.
• Ability to work independently under guidance, manage multiple priorities, and work in a manufacturing environment.
• Available for 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., from January through June.
