Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Support safe, efficient, and high-quality production processes across molding, machining, lamination, automation, and other manufacturing operations.
• Collect, organize, and analyze manufacturing data to identify trends, process variation, and improvement opportunities.
• Investigate quality issues, equipment performance, scrap, and process deviations using root cause problem-solving methods.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
• Develop work instructions, control plans, standard operating procedures, and visual management tools.
• Support SPC, process capability assessments, engineering trials, DOE, equipment qualifications, process validations, and new product introductions.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, chemical, materials science, manufacturing, electrical, or a related engineering discipline.
• Currently a sophomore, junior, or senior in good academic standing; a minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred.
• Currently enrolled and able to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., January through June.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, technical data interpretation, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Must not require hirify.global immigration sponsorship now or in the future, including H-1B, TN, or STEM OPT sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, SPC, Minitab, JMP, Power BI, or CAD software.
• Prior internship, co-op, laboratory, research, or manufacturing experience.
• Leadership demonstrated through coursework, student organizations, research, athletics, or extracurricular activities.
