Co-op, Supplier Development Engineering - Mechanical: January-June 2027 (Onsite) (Medical Devices)

Location: Onsite in Acton, Massachusetts, United States. Up to 5% travel to local suppliers.

Annual base salary: $25.00–$34.00.

hirify.global is a medical device company developing the Omnipod platform for insulin delivery and other subcutaneous drug-delivery applications.

What you will do

• Investigate manufacturing issues and support root cause analysis with cross-functional manufacturing, process, design, mechanical, and electrical engineering teams.
• Use lab equipment such as Instron systems, pressure transducers, OGP equipment, and high-speed cameras.
• Design test procedures, 3D-printed fixtures, and custom tests; analyze data for tool qualification and design improvements.
• Lead at least one root cause or process improvement initiative.
• Automate and standardize internal workflows and data-analysis processes using applicable software skills, including VBA.
• Support engineering change orders, supplier qualification, manufacturing capacity improvements, and process enhancements.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate mechanical, industrial, or bioengineering program.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Mechanical aptitude and a hands-on approach.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis and CAD software.
• Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
