What you will do

• Implement and maintain LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless, and other complex network solutions.
• Diagnose complex hardware, software, connectivity, and network performance issues and provide tier-2 support.
• Monitor traffic and performance metrics, resolve bottlenecks, and recommend infrastructure improvements.
• Implement network security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN protections.
• Document architectures, configurations, changes, procedures, incidents, and performance trends.
• Coordinate with engineering teams and vendors, mentor junior staff, and participate in training and after-hours on-call duties.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2+ years of related experience, or 6+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, switching equipment, wireless networking, VPNs, and corporate network support.
• Experience maintaining SLAs, supporting corporate IT departments, and working with networking equipment.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted network troubleshooting and basic firewall principles and maintenance.
• Current/active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and U.S. citizenship are required.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs regularly, work at a computer for extended periods, travel occasionally, and perform after-hours on-call duties.

Nice to have

• CCNA certification and experience with SD-WAN, VoIP, network automation, fiber optics, and UTP.
• Strong knowledge of network security tools, zero trust networking, and security procedures.
