Senior Transportation Manager (Logistics)

Location: On-site in Dallas, Texas, United States; up to 25% travel required.

Salary: $115,000–$150,000 per year.

What you will do

• Oversee inbound transportation financial processes, including freight payment, forecasting, invoicing, auditing, and claims.
• Secure and manage cost-effective carrier capacity across truckload, intermodal, and LTL shipments.
• Analyze and report transportation metrics, KPIs, operational performance, and financial results.
• Develop strategic bid plans, administer RFPs, negotiate contracts, and manage service-provider relationships.
• Maintain routing guide and award compliance while resolving freight, rate, and carrier-performance issues.
• Administer the Transportation Management System and implement process and service improvements with operations teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or logistics preferred.
• At least 7 years of transportation or logistics experience, including 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience with truckload, intermodal, and LTL transportation across multiple temperature classes.
• Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Access, and transportation management systems.
• Strong analytical, project management, organizational, interpersonal, and process-improvement skills.
• Ability to lead a team, manage multiple projects, and work independently.
