Manager, Indirects - Transportation

Salary: $104,200–$130,200 per year, plus performance-based bonus

What you will do

• Develop multi-year category strategies for transportation subcategories based on business needs, market intelligence, supplier capabilities, and financial opportunities.
• Lead strategic sourcing events, including RFx development, supplier evaluation, negotiations, award recommendations, and implementation planning.
• Manage complex commercial negotiations, contract execution, supplier relationships, business reviews, performance, and risk mitigation.
• Partner with Finance and Data Analytics to manage total cost of ownership, quantify savings, and support fact-based decisions.
• Build alignment with Logistics, Customer Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, Legal, and other corporate stakeholders.
• Influence mid- to executive-level stakeholders and manage a transportation spend portfolio of $285 million across North America.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 7+ years of experience in indirect procurement, transportation procurement, logistics, supply chain, or related category management.
• Experience with category strategy, strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, contract lifecycle management, cost modeling, financial analysis, and project or portfolio management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with source-to-pay or eProcurement tools such as Ariba, SAP, or Keelvar is preferred.
• Strong communication, presentation, stakeholder management, negotiation, judgment, and analytical skills.
• Up to six business trips per year may be required.
