Senior Software Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Deliver identity and access management capabilities across infrastructure, databases, services, APIs, and user interfaces.
• Design and implement APIs, RESTful services, data models, workflows, orchestration surfaces, and production services.
• Research and prototype emerging solutions for AI-agent identity and turn validated concepts into product features.
• Collaborate with product management, UX, and engineering teams to deliver scalable and usable solutions.
• Participate in design, coding, testing, rollout, production support, code reviews, and technical discussions.
• Use AI engineering tools such as Claude Code to accelerate research, prototyping, implementation, and documentation.

Requirements

• Experience designing, building, testing, and operating production services using Java, JavaScript, Google Cloud, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with production services, distributed systems, or shared platform capabilities.
• Experience designing APIs, RESTful services, integration contracts, and data or domain models.
• Experience with authentication, authorization, and identity management.
• Ability to turn ambiguous requirements into prototypes and production-ready solutions and communicate technical decisions clearly.
• Ability to work from Austin, Texas, United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, token exchange, policy systems, delegated administration, or identity data modeling.
• Experience with AI-agent identity, non-human identity, MCP, or agent integration concepts.
• Experience with distributed systems at scale, multiple codebases, or international teams.
• Experience contributing to technical designs and proof-of-concept work.
