Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op

Location: Rockrimmon, Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States. Onsite laboratory and manufacturing-site role, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., from January through June 2027.

Salary: $20–$30 per hour, depending on skills and qualifications.

What you will do

• Create manufacturing tools, fixtures, and production aids through design, 3D printing, and machining.
• Streamline manufacturing processes and support the transition from prototyping to production.
• Develop and document standard procedures for manufacturing processes.
• Apply lean manufacturing principles to reduce costs, improve quality, and increase operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with Automation, Continuous Improvement, Quality, Safety, Systems, and New Product Introduction teams.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled student pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Junior or senior standing with expected graduation in 2027 or 2028.
• Knowledge of CAD, such as SolidWorks or an equivalent tool, additive manufacturing, and manufacturing processes.
• Hands-on, detail-oriented approach and willingness to work in a laboratory environment.
• Analytical, problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Available to work 40 hours per week for the six-month co-op assignment and familiar with university co-op participation requirements.
