Co-op, Manufacturing Engineering (Medical Devices)

Location: Onsite in Acton, Massachusetts, United States

Annual base salary: $25.00–$34.00. The role may also include incentive compensation.

hirify.global is a medical device company developing the Omnipod insulin management platform and other wearable drug-delivery solutions for diabetes and additional therapeutic areas.

What you will do

• Study production equipment such as laser welding, heat staking, and automated assembly systems to drive process improvements.
• Perform failure root cause analysis, equipment validation, hands-on laboratory testing, measurements, and data analysis.
• Generate tool files, write setup and operating procedures, prepare equipment for validation, and support IQ, TMV, OQ, and PQ activities.
• Support machine builds and debugging at local automation suppliers.
• Design and prototype manufacturing aids using SolidWorks and 3D printing.
• Track production-line efficiency, scrap, and downtime, and prepare engineering change orders and supplier change requests.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Bioengineering, or a related field.
• Interest or experience in manufacturing automation, laboratory testing, and metrology.
• Ability to analyze large data sets and present clear, actionable information.
• Preferred experience with SolidWorks; proficiency with Microsoft Office is expected.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-based visa sponsorship.
• Possible travel to automation suppliers is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Pro/Engineer (Creo).
• Experience with Minitab, JMP, or Excel for data analysis.
