Mechanical Engineering and Design Co-op (June - December 2027)

Location: Anoka, Minnesota, United States; onsite

Salary: $25.00 per hour

What you will do

• Prepare product layouts under engineering direction.
• Design mechanical components and assemblies using 3D CAD systems.
• Follow engineering drafting and product release standards.
• Participate in product development, design brainstorming, and voice-of-customer activities.
• Process engineering change documentation and develop bills of material.
• Use FEA tools, perform engineering calculations, validate specifications, and research current and next-generation technologies.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Junior or senior standing preferred; expected graduation between May 2028 and June 2029.
• Experience with 3D software modeling and proficient computer skills.
• Ability to interpret written, oral, diagrammatic, and schedule-based instructions.
• Ability to organize, document, and schedule multiple simultaneous projects.
• Strong written and oral communication skills for collaboration across functional areas.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of design standards and manufacturing processes.
• Mechanical, electrical, or refrigeration knowledge for designing and building components and assemblies.
• HVAC or sheet metal knowledge.
• SolidWorks experience.
