What you will do
- Conceive, design, validate, and launch new products and services.
- Collaborate with executives and multidisciplinary teams across hardware, home, controls, material science, and software.
- Develop technical understanding of adjacent disciplines to address design constraints and production challenges.
- Work with vendors and internal experts to optimize designs for function, aesthetics, and production.
- Research new materials, production methods, and technologies for project needs.
- Transition between studio and field work as required.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience as an industrial designer.
- Industrial Design degree.
- Produced body of work or a strong understanding of how designs can be produced.
- Experience with hands-on prototyping and managing production with partners and vendors.
- Strong attention to detail, design craftsmanship, material exploration, and aesthetic judgment.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
Nice to have
- Experience in a design studio or large multidisciplinary team with established design processes.
- Experience in space or additive manufacturing.
- Experience creating product ecosystems and complete design languages.
- Strong 3D modeling and photorealistic rendering skills.
