Senior Credit Risk Analyst (SQL/Tableau)

Location: Crewe, England, United Kingdom; hybrid working with office hours Monday to Friday, 8:30 am–5:00 pm

What you will do

• Act as the embedded credit analytics partner for operational, commercial, and senior leadership teams.
• Set the analytical agenda by identifying emerging risks, analytical opportunities, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Review and rationalise reporting to focus management information on business decisions.
• Design and implement automated SQL and Tableau reporting and analytics solutions.
• Deliver root-cause analysis, trend identification, and predictive insights across portfolio performance, defaults, recoveries, bad debt, and customer behaviour.
• Provide evidence for credit policy, risk appetite, limit-setting, and strategic decisions.

Requirements

• Advanced SQL skills, including multi-stage queries, data modelling, optimisation, and documentation against a large data warehouse.
• Advanced Tableau skills, including architecting dashboards and data sources from scratch.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience building, stress-testing, and defending decision-making models.
• Experience automating manual reporting processes and demonstrating measurable time and risk savings.
• Significant experience in credit, risk, portfolio, or commercial analytics in a complex business environment.
• Strong credit and risk knowledge, commercial judgement, senior stakeholder influence, and business partnering skills.

Nice to have

• Degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline.
