Aseptic Filling Technician I (Fixed Term Contract)

Location: Onsite in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada

What you will do

• Set up and operate aseptic capping equipment and related support activities.
• Prepare and sterilize components using vial washers, depyrogenation ovens, autoclaves, and other manufacturing equipment.
• Perform formulation and filtration activities for aseptic filling.
• Complete manufacturing documentation and records in accordance with SOPs and cGMPs.
• Clean aseptic manufacturing areas and suites according to established procedures.
• Report manufacturing issues and deviations from quality or manufacturing standards to the supervisor.

Requirements

• Ability to follow detailed written procedures and work instructions accurately under close supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to complete, timely documentation.
• Ability and willingness to work rotating 8-hour or 12-hour shifts, including weekends and occasional extended hours.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 kg, and work in cleanroom environments with gowning and PPE.
• Pre-employment medical examination, periodic eye and color-blindness testing, and Hepatitis A and B vaccination are required.
• Ability to wear a fitted respirator and work with chlorine- and alcohol-based disinfectants.

Nice to have

• Degree or technical diploma in life sciences, biotechnology, engineering technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent technical training.
• At least one year of experience in manufacturing, laboratory, or regulated environments.
• Prior exposure to aseptic technique, sterile filling operations, or cleanroom and gowning requirements.
