TL;DR
Post-Harvest Shift Lead (Cannabis): Leading and performing cannabis post-harvest operations in a GMP-certified production facility, including trimming, bucking, drying, curing, packaging, and batch documentation with an accent on team leadership, SOP compliance, and product quality. Focus on optimizing production processes, tracking team metrics, maintaining sanitary handling and equipment, and coordinating with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Propagation.

Location: Onsite in Pemberton, British Columbia, Canada. Full-time contract for 6 months, working four 10-hour shifts per week from 8:00am to 6:00pm, with evenings, weekends, and overtime as required.

Hourly wage: $29.50 CAD per hour to start.

What you will do

  • Lead, train, and support Post-Harvest Team Members in achieving daily production goals.
  • Oversee and perform trimming, bucking, drying, curing, packaging, and sanitary transportation of cannabis products.
  • Operate, clean, and maintain automated trimming, bucking, and sorting equipment.
  • Ensure harvest and trim activities follow SOPs, identify efficiency improvements, and suggest SOP revisions.
  • Track individual and team performance metrics and use them to support production decisions.
  • Maintain batch records and coordinate with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Propagation as required.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership or team-management experience in a similar cultivation, production, or manufacturing environment.
  • Deep knowledge of post-harvest processes, including drying, curing, and trimming techniques.
  • Basic knowledge of GMP standards and strong understanding of SOP and documentation compliance.
  • Strong organization, communication, prioritization, accuracy, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and stand or sit for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in moderate noise, handle cannabis plants and products, wear mandatory PPE and medical masks, and complete a medical screening exam before hire.

Nice to have

  • Previous leadership experience in a cannabis cultivation or production facility.
  • Experience with KPIs, delivery-related metrics, process improvement, or delivery excellence.
  • Manufacturing experience.
