Engineering Technician (Precision Instrumentation)

Location: Andover, Massachusetts, United States; limited to US Citizens or Permanent Residents

Salary: $30.48–$50.80 per hour

What you will do

• Construct, debug, and test precision flow measurement and control instrumentation.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and firmware engineers to resolve issues and improve system performance.
• Prototype advanced electromechanical packaging and build cable assemblies with low-voltage power and communications wiring.
• Design, debug, document, and implement new assembly processes.
• Set up tests, collect and analyze data, and support general laboratory organization and maintenance.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• Associate degree or equivalent technician experience, plus at least 4 years of related experience.
• Experience with precision mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical assemblies.
• Proficiency with hand tools, small power tools, and soldering stations.
• Experience using standard electronics test equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
• Ability to work from drawings and written or verbal descriptions, communicate clearly, and use Microsoft Excel for data analysis.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting prototyping with a development engineering team.
• Experience developing jigs and fixtures for precision assemblies.
• PCBA troubleshooting, SMT rework or repair, and familiarity with LabView.
• Exposure to embedded software development, vacuum products, or instrumentation.
